Smoke alarm installations

​Smoke alarms are a very important part of any home, and it is a requirement that they are installed for safety and compliance purposes. They must be installed within 3 metres of any bedroom and should be interlinked with others in the same property. For two story properties, there should be one installed on each floor as a minimum.

​

Most smoke alarms have a 10-year life span and should be tested regularly and backup batteries replaced.

Complete or partial home re-wires of existing installations​

Many types of cabling used in the past is no longer safe and compliant for use. We recommend rewiring any electrical fittings, circuits, switchboards, etc, with new TPS sheathed cable to replace cabling such as VIR sheathed cables (vulcanised rubber), single insulated cables in steel conduit and cotton in cap'n'case (cotton covered cable run within timber casing).
